Must have for Winter
Ok, I get it weâre not having the coldest winter yet, but there have been a few chilly days and man did this thing come in handy. Originally my husband got this for himself. Although I somehow managed to commandeer it because it keeps you so nice and toasty! I really love that you can use the battery pack for it, soooooo convenient and seeing as we already have a few at home we can just swap out a freshly charged one when needed. The battery pack isnât included with the jacket, but a quick search and you can find some inexpensive ones that will do the trick. It does sit a bit awkwardly since the battery pack is behind one pocket and sometimes the cord would come unplugged, but those really are minor inconveniences to an otherwise great heated vest.I like the option for fully heating or only choosing one area to heat. I always want to be as toasty as possible so I always click to have both areas heated, but I can see how that could come in handy. My husband works construction and he has been wearing it daily for the days he works outdoors. Lightweight enough that he can wear it nicely under a jacket. We both highly recommended this vest.

Like the name says – it’s cozy
I’ve only worn it once so far so not sure how durable. It was just below freezing out & I wore the vest on medium heat setting for an outside walk. I had a winter jacket over it but ended up having to zip it most of the way down. I also have Reynauld’s & lose the circulation in my fingers when cold. While my heated gloves can help with that it’s often more important to keep my core body warm so it isn’t triggered. The vest does a good job of that! I just wore regular gloves & my fingers did not turn white. I’m hopeful this will be my #1 item for outside winter time.

It really worked! Too well, perhaps. Except for my wife.
I have a few misgivings about this vest but when I used it in -20F weather in Alaska on high or medium it got warm quickly. In fact it got too warm and I found the most comfortable temperature with my layers was the lowest setting. I never tried wearing it as the only outer garment because being sleeveless it meant my arms would likely suffer in the extreme cold. My base layer was 320 (heavyweight) Merino wool. The chest warmer and the back warmer are on separate controls. Unfortunately the controls are on the INSIDE of the vest so you have to unzip it and fold the lapel back to change the settings. A better location would be something farther from your head (so you don’t have to crane your neck down) and on the outside of the vest. My wife wore the vest (though it was too large for her) and she stayed comfy, but for some reason it kept shutting off for her. The vest was NOT turning off due to to the powerbank which was fully charged and working fine. My guess is that the weight of her outer layer was pressing the control and turning off the vest. When I was wearing it, I didn’t observe any problems with it staying on and keeping warm. There was one day that I chose to not wear the vest and wish I had… that was the day I went snowmobiling for 5 hours in -30F weather. I’m quite sure it would have kept my back toasty warm whereas in my Carhart outer layer and merino inner layer I felt some chill in the back. This would have been a perfect add to that scenario. As far as how well made it is… the zipper doesn’t impress me as being particularly heavy duty, and the shell material seems likely to be easily ripped and the quality of stitching isn’t stellar either. BUT given how effective it was as a middle layer – none of that particularly worried me. I didn’t expect “high quality” in such an inexpensive garment. One caveat: It doesn’t come with a power bank to make it work. This is documented, but I notice some negative reviews apparently were by people who overlooked that. I was prepared with plenty of powerbanks and hand-warmer powerbanks. The longest I wore the vest with it on was about 3 hours and I never had a problem. So in short:Warmth: 5/5Functionality: 3/5Durability/Quality: 2/5Controls: 3/5Overall: 4/5I don’t expect to use it very often, but I’ll report back if I do and let you know what, if anything, fails.

I’m impressed
This really takes the bite off the chill when you’re out in it for hours.

Battery Pack
Didn’t like the fact that it didn’t come with a battery pack.. but liked the quality of it. It’s very comfortable, true to size and keeps you warm.

Disappointed
This vest came with no instructions. looked as though it had been used, not purchased as used. Plugged up and would not charge.

Warm
I have had several heated vests. This one is my favorite. Comfortable, warm, nice pockets. I also like that the battery pocket is a decent size.

Works Great But Sizes are way off
Ordered vest because I like the design, pockets and dual heating zones. I normally wear a large shirts or jacket or XL if I want a loose fit. I got XL for loose fit. I had a hard time putting vest on because it is small at shoulders, stomach and waist. Tight fit! So, sizes are apparently for very slender built people, Not anyone broad shouldered or not skinny. My wife is a size small and skinny and it fit her good with it a little loose. Are these youth sizes or Adult. Wish they had a XXL but, nope. The good. Had it over a sweatshirt in 20 degree weather outside for 3 hours on high setting. Arms, hands cold. Body not at all, neck nice and warm. Back much warmer than the front. A nice plus to have a slightly warm pocket to put hands in. Still unsure if I will keep or not due to size. Price was good though
