Worth the Money
I am pleased with the quality. It is substantial, not flimsy, and appears to be well made. I ordered the XL, which is what I normally wear in a T-shirt, and I find the vest to be true to size (my chest measures 44″). I am short (5′) so the length hits about hip level on me. The lime green color is easy to see at night, which I consider a nice safety feature. Once saturated, this vest is a little heavy and hard to wring out, so it will drip, and you will get wet. I think it would help to run it through a rinse/spin cycle in the washing machine to help with this issue, but you wouldn’t be able to do that if you weren’t near a washing machine. It definitely works better at cooling if there is a breeze. I use mine while walking; if you are on a bike you’ll get more air movement, even if there is no wind. I am in AZ, so even at night, the temps can be in the 90’s, however, humidity is pretty low. I’m not sure how well this would work in a humid climate. I have some of those neck coolers with gel beads that swell up when soaked, and I was using them prior to getting this vest. The vest does not puff up like the neck coolers do, and that is a good thing. Overall, a good product for my purposes.

Works surprisingly well
I purchased this vest before a 300+ mile bike ride in hot, humid summer heat and sun. I had overheated on that ride the summer before. The vest works as advertised. At rest stops I dunked the vest in water and put it on over my cycling jersey. When I put the vest on it didn’t soak me. It just felt damp. It did make me feel noticeably cooler for sure. I wore it during the ride at one point and the coolness lasted about 1 1/2 hours while riding until the vest started to dry out. I don’t recommend carrying the vest on a bike ride unless the ride is supported as it is bulky and gets heavy when wet. It would be great for those working in the heat of the day, or for support vehicles to have for those people who are starting to over heat. (sports teams, work crews) Good value for the price. If you are wondering about sizing, err on the larger side. Even if the vest is a bit large it still works.

Works as described and well worth the money!
I had heard good things about these kind of cooling vests so decided to try one out. I am a motorcycle rider and normally take a long meandering ride around the country and Canada each summer so experience some really hot days of riding. This vest has done a great job so far. I left my home town of Naples, FL on June 25 and am now in Washington State headed to Canada. When ever I have put this vest on it has done what it was described to do, which is keep me cool on the hot days. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to feel cooler on any hot day.

My cats refuse to share this cooling vest with me
I purchased a large size and was sent a small size by mistake. I then made the mistake of laying the vest on my bed to prepare to return it. Apparently the vest also makes a great cat bed, as all of my cats will only sleep on it since it must work as advertised and allow them to sleep cooler. I will keep the small size for my cats and order a large for myself. Vest appears to be well made and not too expensive for what it does.

Heavy and wet in Southwest Florida
Not good for sweaty southwest Florida summers. Just keeps you wet, not cool at all and it is very heavy so you get hotter doing outside tasks like mowing the lawn. Might work in a dry environment like Arizona, but definitely not in a humid environment.

Does fine
Most of the cooling vests are the same. This one was one that was least expensive. It works just fine but it is zippered for females. I didn’t find that they had different colors until after the product was delivered. I purchased 3, one for each. when I got to the western states it worked fine but only for a couple hrs and had to be rewetted (as expected) but 2 hrs on a bike your not worried about the heat but you fanny. Works well inside the shirt or outside.

Very Kewl vest
We bought two of these for our motorcycle trip to Sturgis this year. The hottest weather we had was in Washington between Yakima and Clarkston. We soaked the vests in Yakima and rode for 4-5 hours in 95 -102 degree heat and they kept us cool under our leather jackets the whole way without re-wetting. I would have been drained riding for this long in this heat, but at the end of the day I felt fine. I highly recommend this product for riding in hot weather. For the rest of the trip we kept them wet and stored in large zip-lock bags so they would be ready to use at any time but we didn’t need them.

Coolong vest
The vest has good cooling but, on my motorcycle it is not as effective as it could be due to the full fairing on my bike. The vest needs periodic rewetting or it begins to make the wearer feel too warm. Soaking the vest is a consideration the user must allow time for. It does not happen quickly. I found the vest would drip down onto my pants once I had it on. I would recommend it to a friend with the caveats explained above. Works better on an unfaired bike.
